DESCRIPTION
- First registered in 1958, this Consul Highline reflects the continued evolution of Ford’s successful post-war saloon, benefiting from subtle styling revisions and a slightly larger, more substantial road presence
- Featuring a 1,703cc four-cylinder and 3-speed column shift, the Consul was the base model of the 'Three Graces' range alongside the Zephyr and Zodiac
- The 'Highline' refers to the earlier MkII body style, which was roughly two inches taller in the roofline than the subsequent 'Lowline' models introduced in 1959
- Finished in Harlech Green over Dover White with a green vinyl interior, its two-tone presentation echoes the strong American design influence typical of Ford models of the era
- Appears to have been the subject of an older restoration and was last MOT-tested in 2018, indicating that it has been off the road for some time
