SUMMARY

A fantastic example which was restored by Adler specialist Jürgen Strohmenger in 2013 – 2014, including a full engine rebuild. Still presented in very good condition throughout, although not used for a few years and will require recommissioning prior to a return to the road.

DESCRIPTION

  • Introduced as the replacement for the celebrated MB250, the Adler Favorit represented a clear step forward for Adler in the late 1950s. While retaining the marque’s advanced two-stroke engineering ethos, the Favorit benefitted from a revised frame incorporating an improved swinging-arm rear suspension, delivering enhanced stability and comfort. With a quoted output of 16bhp and a top speed of approximately 73mph, it was a capable and refined middleweight motorcycle for its day.
  • This 1958 example benefits from a comprehensive restoration carried out between 2013 and 2014 by Jürgen Strohmenger, widely regarded as one of the foremost Adler experts. The restoration included a full engine rebuild. As a result, the motorcycle remains in very good condition today.
  • The previous owner cared for the Adler from 2002 until its purchase by Robin Haigh in August 2020, offering reassuring long-term ownership. Although it has not been used for several years, the bike has been well preserved and will require recommissioning before being enjoyed once more on the road
  • An appealing opportunity to acquire a carefully restored and correctly prepared Adler Favorit, combining expert workmanship, known ownership history, and enduring post-war sporting character.
  • Offered with V5C, restoration invoices and parts lists
