SUMMARY

This older restored example remains in delightful condition, with good compression and an engine that turns freely. Unused for some time and will require recommissioning prior to active use.

DESCRIPTION

  • The Adler MB250 stands as one of the most technically accomplished quarter-litre motorcycles of the post-war period, exemplifying the innovative engineering for which Adler became renowned. With its advanced two-stroke design and distinctive styling, the MB250 earned a strong reputation for performance and refinement during the 1950s.
  • This example dates from 1956 and was acquired by Robin Haigh in March 1998. While little is known of the motorcycle’s early history prior to his ownership, period tax discs from 1961 and 1963 are on file, confirming its use on the road during the early 1960s. A V5C was subsequently issued in 1998.
  • Restored at some point in its life, the Adler presents as a sound and complete machine. The engine turns over and has good compression. However, as it has not been in regular use for a period, it will require recommissioning before returning to active service.
  • A great opportunity to acquire a mid-1950s Adler MB250, offering both historical interest and the potential for sympathetic recommissioning or further refinement by its next custodian.
