SUMMARY

Part of the Jim Richardson Collection. One of the last Vincents to be registered, complete with Conway Motors provenance and a large history file. With only 132 of these remarkable bikes completed, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most unusual Vincents ever built.

DESCRIPTION

  • Following on from the legendary Shadow, Phil Vincent wanted to produce a 'two-wheeled Bentley' so, in 1954, he developed and launched the Black Prince with all new aerodynamic bodywork clothing the traditional 998cc V-twin engine and suspension
  • Only 132 were ever produced when production ended in December 1955 with the company's demise
  • Often regarded as more a piece of art than a mere motorcycle and highly sought after today, it stands as both a technical milestone and a symbol of Vincent’s fearless pursuit of innovation
  • This example is presumably one of the last to sell as it was first registered on 10/07/1956 to Conway Motors Ltd of Shepherds Bush, London
  • The bike has been in Jim Richardson's care since 2013 and was toured by Jim extensively up until he stopped using it in 2023
  • Supplied with its current V5C (Historic) and on its original (transferable) registration number with a large folder of paperwork, including the original 'buff' logbook, old MOTs & V5C, tax discs, period service notes, invoices etc.
  • A rare opportunity to acquire one of the most unusual and desirable Vincents ever built
  • Correct front and rear frame, engine and crankcase pairing numbers
