Part of the Jim Richardson Collection. Dating from 21/07/1949, this very early Rapide Series C is a highly desirable HRD-badged example and was enjoyed by Jim from 2006 until 2023. Correct numbers and supplied with a current V5C (Historic), it will require some recommissioning prior to road use.

DESCRIPTION
- Unveiled in 1946, the HRD Vincent Rapide Series B redefined motorcycle engineering in the post-war era
- Powered by a 998cc, 50° air-cooled V-twin offering c.45bhp @ 5,500rpm, it was one of the fastest and most advanced motorcycles of the late 1940s
- Fitted with a revolutionary 'frameless' design with the engine as a stressed member
- Vincent 'Girdraulic' forks with hydraulic damping; cantilever rear with twin spring/damper units and fitted with twin drum brakes front and rear
- Produced until 1949, when the HRD name was dropped in favour of simply Vincent
- This early correct numbers 1949 Series C is a highly desirable HRD-badged example, rarer than later Vincent-branded machines
- First registered on 21/07/1949 and owned by Jim Richardson since May 2006, showing just two former keepers
- Used regularly for touring by Jim unto 2023, it will require some recommissioning prior to road-use
- UK registered on a current V5C (Historic) and supplied with a large folder of paperwork with old V5Cs, old MOTs, invoices, club magazines and literature
- Correct front frame, rear frame number not visible, correct engine and crankcase pairing numbers
