SUMMARY
Triumphs stripped-down and lightweight TT model, weighing in at only 191lbs with a direct belt drive. An older restoration but presented in good overall condition and a great piece of rideable Triumph history.
DESCRIPTION
- Triumph were formed in the late 1800s based in Coventry, initially producing bicycles and then motorcycles
- They became one of the largest and most well known motorcycle manufacturers worldwide and are still in business today
- Racing in the early days was a key marketing strategy, victory on the track inevitably meant more sales
- Triumph had TT success from as early as 1908 hence the firm introduced a road-going TT replica
- Fitted with a variable pulley gear system with direct drive
- This example was extensively restored a few years ago including a full engine rebuild with new piston, valves, guides and bearings
- Verified and known to the VMCC, has competed on numerous Banbury Runs with a previous owner famously stating 'no hill has beaten it yet'
- Great piece of rideable Triumph history
- Dry stored inside our vendor's house for the last couple of years so may need some basic recommissioning before road use
